1978 930 Turbo

1978 911 Turbo. Very rare 1978 Viper Green Metallic, full Cork leather. Specification 99 (Special customer order)

1 of only  28 RHD 1978 UK cars, One of 2 in Viper green metallic and unique in this colour combination.

Only 62,000 recorded miles from new, interesting history, but the original service book has long gone due to the insolvency, was stored for many years in dry conditions. A few years ago I got a full list of previous owners from the DVLA.

Have been the lucky custodian for 10 years and counting.

Subject to insolvency sale in early 2010 by Lithgoes, had only 3 owners and was stored in a container for years. Engine was started by someone after nearly a decade of storage resulting in damaged mains and big ends. The engine was was stripped down before the car changed hands 3 times while off the road, finally being fully rebuilt soon after I bought the car.

Full engine rebuild and recommision by MRP and Mark Linstone Porshce Specialists also has just had full rebuild of metering head, warm up regulator, fuel system and rolling road tune. Recent bills for £15000.

Totally rust free underneath, sills and B-posts. Stainless heat exchangers and Dansk sports exhaust.

Very desirable in this  colour and condition especially as one of the first 3.3 300bhp cars.

Previously in the Eighties I have owned 930's in Granite and Minerva Blue, but this colour is really spot on for an old Turbo and looks amzing in the flesh- very special.

Usually I get bored with my cars within a year or two and get itchy feet, but this is the exception, it would be hard to know what to replace this beauty with after 10 years and a lot of enjoyment- It is simply irreplaceable.
